CIRCLES-AN INTRODUCTION

The lesson starts with the basic formulas of a circle, namely, equation of a circle with center at the origin and radius r, equation of the circle with center (h, k) and radius r and the diameter form of the circle. 2 problems are discussed here,

how to find the equation of a circle with center at the origin and passing through a point and how to find the equation of a circle passing through the origin and cutting off intercepts -2 and 3 on the coordinate axes. Here, we use the fact that the angle in a semicircle is a right angle.
