This video explains how to use Ratios to solve problems in this topic. This is a branch of Applied Mathematics. Also taught in CBSE Class 12.

A Partnership is when 2 or more partners invest equal amounts of money for different time periods or unequal amounts for the same time period.

You are introduced to the two types of partnerships, namely simple and compound. You are also given the formulas for each partner's share in the profit in both partnerships.

The concept of working partner is explained. A working partner gets incentive.

A few of the problems are-

1.A and B started a partnership by investing in the ratio 3:5 respectively. After 5 months, C joined them with an amount equal to that of B. In what ratio, should the profit at the end of a year, be distributed among A, B and C respectively

2. Neena and Meena started a business by investing Rs 2,00,000 and Rs 1,50,000 respectively. After 6 months, Sheela joined them with Rs 2,50,000. If the total profit at the end of 1 year is Rs38,000, find Meena's share in the profit.
